Day 7 - Mental Health Awareness Month (Smile)

Updated: May 23

you survived monday, smile!

Congratulations! You survived Monday and made your way back to our site on this 7th day of Mental Health Awareness Month. That’s something to smile about.

Smiling can be quite beneficial to your mental health. A simple smile can help reduce anxiety and stress because it decreases stress-enhancing hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. Instead, smiling triggers the release of endorphins, the happy chemicals that relieve pain and stress.  Smiling has been proven to instantly boost your mood.

And, since smiles are contagious, one smile from you just might improve the mood of several other people around you. To improve the odds of you having a positive day, start it off with a smile. Then, see how many other people you can infect.
